Myrmidon
Myrmidon quickly became my favourite ship once I got into battlecruisers. It is a absolutely wonderful ship and so far has been able to take anything I have thrown at it, unless I’ve made some stupid error.
For a pod pilot that comes from a Vexor background, the Myrmidon has all the same qualities only improved. Great slot layout that will make for a great armor or shield tank. Big drone bay to pack all your favourite toys in and enough highs to fit for utility.
The only thing the Myrm lacks in is firepower as it is a dedicated drone boat and its bonuses cater to that. This makes it rather unsuited for wormholes as the sleepers like to eat drones for snacks, but I’ve taken a few runs in the anyway.
I’ve only ever flown one Myrmidon fit (with slight variations) so that is all you’ll find here for now.
Passive Tanked Exploration Vessel
My Wyrm is a full passive shield tank and I usually pack some artillery cannons for extra dps now that I’m using projectiles. The great thing about projectiles is that they don’t use your cap (which is once again a real slow recharger on this kind of shield tank). And now with Dominion you get to pick and choose your damage type which gives you lots of versatility.
You can switch those highs to whatever fits your style though. NOS works against NPCs but there is only so much cap that is needed with a passive tank. The extra juice will allow you to run that beam and salvager longer though. With this setup I get 20+ minutes of cap with just the invulnerability field and guns running, 8 minutes with the beam and salvager added. Drone link augmentors and remote reppers might be useful in the highs too.
I’ve used meta modules, but if you want some extra tank you could swap in T2′s.
My stats against uniform damage: 370 dps tank, 33K EHP, 248 DPS (guns + Hammerhead II’s)
