Griffin
I used the Griffing for a short while on my Caldari alt as a ninja salvager. Can’t really say much about the ship other than that it worked adequately for what I needed back then.
Ninja Salvager
This is the Griffin fit I used for ninja salvaging. The Expanded Probe Launcher required for ship scanning puts quite a strain on a frigate cpu. Of the Caldari frigates only the Griffin managed to fit it with more than one salvager and an afterburner.
While not exactly cap stable (I got about 4.5 minutes) with everything running, it’s not that much of a problem as you usually won’t be running the salvagers continuously. It still takes time to move to the next wreck from time to time.
This was a ninja salvager ship back in the day before Apocrypha and it’s remote bookmarking ability. Nowadays I would simply fit two ships: an astrofrig for scanning and a better layout frig for the salvaging (a destroyer would work even better here). It is kind of fun to see how the game has changed over the years when you look at old ship fits like this.
